Rockin' Good Times
10.06.2008
Armed with a new brace of tunes the band held forth at the Grove once again packing the place. Marley's reggae standards Stir It Up and his trance tune Exodus were balanced by the southern rock Trashy Women by the Confederate Railroad. A neat turn on the ukelele by Pat brought out the best of Jason Mraz's I'm Yours. With the return of Phil on trumpets, the Ides of March's power brass nugget, Vehicle showcased the horn section.
Requests for Pink's Who Knew and Springsteen's Fire punctuated the usual eclectic mix, and all who stayed until closing were left happy and sated.
Next up the Centennial talent showcase benefitting St. Peter's University Hospital on the 30th followed by the Halloween Party at the Grove (bring your costume and dancing shoes) November 1st.
