Halloween Highlights 2007

10.28.2007

Well the band showed up in Hawaiian haberdashery and rocked the house with many of their standards and some new offerings. New set lists designed by Lou mixed the tried and the new. From Springsteen's Radio Nowhere to Guster's Satellite, the tunes were plentiful and powerful. Andy's take on Carlos' Black Magic Woman framed the Halloween scene with many in the crowd sporting cat, cow, bat and other alternate personae.

Meanwhile, the Allman's Ramblin' Man powered by Pat and Andy gave ample stage to the band's dual guitar lineup, Strat vs. PRS soaring above Rick's tasty piano. With Elio's continued percussion mayhem and powerful vocals, Michael's steady beat and soulful voice, and Lou's solid foundation, the night eventually ended with the crowd and band members equally spent and satisfied.

April 14th: Neither wind nor rain nor...

4.15.2007

With the threat of the worst Nor'easter in a decade barrelling into New Jersey, AlterEgo provided its own heatwave to warm up Spring 2007 and counter the cold windy rain outside. Armed with a new setlist (thanks, Lou!) the band dove through their signature ecclectic repertoire. From the intro push of the Gin Blossom's debut hit, "Hey Jealousy" to the rousing Cars nugget "You're all I Got Tonight" the crowd was treated to the band's unique selection of tunes from all over the Rock and Roll spectrum. In fact, with the songs tight and the boys loose, smiles were seen to break even out even on Rick's, Lou's, Phil's and Pat's usually empassioned faces!
And thanks to the crowd....our fans, our impromptu backup singers and dancers always seem to seize the moment to heat up the place and show off their talent guaranteeing that everyone was having as much fun as the band that night.

Check back soon for upcoming dates and sound clips of some of the band's tunes on this site.

The Grove - 2/3/2007

2.03.2007

The band just wrapped up their gig at the Brunswick Grove in Millstone, NJ and it was great fun. The audience had a damn good time and so did the band. The sound was good, the vibe was right and people were showing their love all night long. I'm sure the bar tabs show the night to be a success. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who showed their support and to the staff at The Grove. Check back soon to see about future dates at The Grove.
